Self-Care School is open. Let’s earn every badge together.

Dear Sister,

You’re about to witness the beginning of a tradition we believe will last for generations.

This morning, we officially opened the doors to MySelfCareSchool.com
a 10-week walking journey teaching the self-care secrets of our ancestors.

And for the first time ever, you can now earn Foremother Badges. A full set of 10.

More than a reward, these one-of-a-kind, beautifully designed badges are sacred symbols of healing — earned week by week, rooted in the wisdom of the women who walked before us.

Each badge is a tribute to a legend. Rosa. Fannie. Ida. Sojourner. Harriet…

Each one is a declaration: “I showed up. I did the work. I walked the walk.”

The badges are digital for now, but real ones will be in the store before the end of the 10-week journey! That means you’ll be able to wear them. Frame them. Pass them down. Like heirlooms. Like armor. Like proof that healing is a legacy.

How Self-Care School Works:

  • Walk 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week

  • While you walk listen to a daily podcast dropped each day at 6AM ET on Myselfcareschool.com

  • Earn one digital Foremother Badge when you walk 5 days by completing the weekly exit survey to test what you’re learning!

  • Each badge honors a legendary Black woman and represents our demands for the future we are creating.

This isn’t just a challenge. It’s a family healing plan.

  • A ritual to bring mothers and daughters closer.

  • A blueprint for aunties, cousins, and chosen sisters to grow stronger together.

  • A sacred weekly rhythm to help Black families break generational cycles — and pass down strength instead of struggle.

Class begins Monday, April 7.

Picture This:

A denim jacket stitched with all 10 badges like war medals.
A shadow box above your altar with your daughter’s first badge.
A patch passed from mother to daughter like a family ring.

A girl one day asking:

     “Whose badge was this?”
And the answer being:
“That was your grandmother’s. She earned it the year she walked herself to freedom.”

This is how healing becomes legacy.
This is how radical self-care becomes ritual.
This is what we pass down now.

✊🏾 Your First Assignment: Pass It Down

The most radical thing we can do right now is teach our girls how to care for themselves.
Because for the first time in history, our daughters are projected to live shorter lives than we do.
We’re saying: not on our watch.

GirlTREK is on a mission to increase life expectancy for Black women by 10 years in 10 years.

And that begins with us—and the girls we love—walking in the footsteps of our foremothers.

Forward this email to the girls in your life. Your daughter. Your niece. Your little cousin. Your mentee. Your goddaughter. The next generation.

📱 Text her:
“Let’s earn every Foremother Badge together. I want to do this with you.”

Member Poll: Should We Go Live?

Self-Care School is on-demand. Episodes drop daily at 6AM ET on MySelfCareSchool.com — so you can walk on your own time, your own terms.

But some of y’all have asked: Can Morgan and Vanessa walk with us live?

We’re dreaming about it too.

So we’re thinking about launching a Live Study Hall — a 30-minute daily walk where we reflect on that day’s lesson, walk together, and share what’s coming up for us in real time.

If there’s enough interest, we’ll bring it to life.

Help us decide — and help shape the future of this movement:
