We’re Building Bridges, not Bots.

Happy Friday Fam,

I’m writing you straight from the airport, fresh from a week at the TED conference surrounded by a powerful crew of thinkers, leaders, and dreamers.

Morgan and I returned to this community to give an update on the audacious plan that we announced five years ago to inspire a million Black women to start walking.

Needless to say, this was a good week for our Self-Care sermon to be “I am my ancestors wildest dreams” because it was truly powerful to go back and say that not only did we succeed, but we are now ready to mobilize for deep and transformational change.

Our message especially resonated since the big talk at the conference was dominated by conversations about AI and the future, but we brought something just as impactful—our commitment to human connection. That’s the real revolution.

While the world is building bots we’re building bridges. Bridges back to the profound wisdom of our foremothers. Bridges that connect us to the ancient deep healing practices of our ancestors.

Bridges that you walked across this week.

As we spoke truth to power at TED about building healthier futures for Black women, and while our national staff was on the ground, organizing, y’all were out there living it, building your Legacy Leagues, channeling the strength and wisdom of the women who walked before us. Who did you walk as this week? #daughterof whom? What did the universe whisper to you during those walks? We need to hear all about it.

We want to walk and talk about it tomorrow at the rendezvous point Saturday 10 AM, ET.

Will you be there?

Can you bring a friend or two to walk with you?

It might just be the most important 30 minutes of your week.

Don’t miss out. The past two Saturday walks have touched women in a deep place.

Time: 10 AM ET/7AM PT

In solidarity,

Vanessa, (Morgan and Team)
