TOOLS FOR YOU TO ORGANIZE

“Revolution is not a one-time event. It is becoming always vigilant for the smallest opportunity to make a genuine change in established, outgrown responses…” - Audre Lorde

Sisters,

This week we present to you 5 postcards, flyers, and printouts to help you organize this summer. Print them and post them in your neighborhood. Bring them with you to hand out at your community gatherings and events. Create a sign to carry at your city-wide parade or rally. Post them on your social media timelines.

We want you to share in whatever ways you can.

And then we hit the streets as a movement on Saturday, July 15th for our next Welcome Walk of GirlTrek’s Summer of Radical Welcome.

We are asking every woman in the movement to take a walk that day and let us know where you are walking by dropping a pin on the GirlTrek map. By putting your walk on the map, you are letting another Black woman know she’s welcome in this movement.

This is the smallest opportunity to make the genuine change that our dear sister Audre was speaking about.

You could inspire a sister.

Save a sister's life.

Be a lifeline in a time of need.

Be an inspiration to the movement.

Be the revolution yourself.

All things are possible when we walk together.

Be well this weekend,

The GirlTrek Team
