This message is for you

Over 5,000 Black women have said yes in the last 24 hours to Self-Care for Freedom Fighters, a free 10-week journey to your healthiest, most fulfilled life with weekly opportunities to experience the deep peace and joy that comes from putting yourself first.

You don’t have to commit to the whole ten weeks now; you just have to commit to the first step, trusting that goodness and grace will meet you along the path and see you to the finish line.

Say yes here.

Then think about 10 women who you know need a breakthrough and forward this message.

You’ve been doing it alone for too long. You don’t have to anymore. We’ve been waiting to walk with you.

This message is for you, Black women who have tirelessly put the needs of others before your own.

It’s for you, who know all too well the weight of martyrdom syndrome—carrying the burdens of others until you have nothing left for yourself.

This message is for you, young Black women who are breaking generational patterns of self-sacrifice.

This is especially for you who seek freedom, who yearn to break free from the chains of perpetual caregiving at the expense of your own well-being.

This message is for you Black women who have navigated the complexities of leadership while the world demands endlessly from you.

This message is for you Black women who refuse to cooperate with grief, who refuse to surrender your soft curves, who refuse to let heartache have its way with you.

We stand at a pivotal moment, a time when the act of caring for oneself has become a radical form of activism and where we can no longer ask for permission to save our own lives. We are dying at higher and faster rates than any other group in the country from chronic disease. We must move now towards freedom.

Join us starting April 1st.

P.S. For the next 10 weeks, we’re stepping away from social media and into the streets of our neighborhoods. Sign up for SMS text messages so you can get exclusive updates from the movement that won’t be posted on the gram.
